The First Partner’s Summer Book Club

The California Library Association, in partnership with the California State Library and the ELF project, is delighted to provide all California libraries with a free bookshelf of diverse children’s book titles. The bookshelf includes a mix of titles with characters from diverse backgrounds and experiences, titles created by California authors/illustrators, and titles with a social emotional focus. The books celebrate the First Partner’s Summer Book Club. They were selected by a committee of California librarians, in consultation with the California State Library’s ELF project.
