The California State Library and California Library Association have partnered to provide every California public library jurisdiction with a subscription to the Beanstack platform [beanstack.com] at no charge. This Beanstack offer is for three years and is for the premium service level. Libraries are welcome to sign on at any time during this period.
Whether you plan to use Beanstack this summer, are already a Beanstack client, or intend to use the software after the summer season, we strongly encourage you to complete the Beanstack registration form by Wednesday, May 13th at 5pm:

If you are new to Beanstack and setting up for Summer 2020: You can expect to hear from a Beanstack representative with next steps by Friday, May 15th.
If you are an existing client of Beanstack your service will continue without any interruption or change in features. Beanstack will be in touch over the next 90 days with additional information about a prorated refund. For administrative purposes we do request that you fill out the Beanstack registration form.

What level of Beanstack services is the State Library supplying to California public libraries?

If I am already a paying Beanstack client, is there anything I need to do at this time?

If I am already a paying Beanstack client, will any type of refund be provided?
Yes. The Beanstack team is still processing the new statewide license with California and has a number of administrative items to first complete. This will include prorated refunds to existing clients. You’ll hear from Beanstack over the next 90 days regarding next steps. You can be assured that any refund will be retroactively applied with clear detail.
Our library plans to use Beanstack this summer, but we missed (or are going to miss) the May 13th deadline to sign up. Is it too late to get started?
It is not too late. Please go ahead and fill out the form as soon as you are able. Beanstack will be in touch with you to discuss your timeline and set-up once the form is submitted.
